SNACK & AFTER CARE LUNCH
Please do not send snacks or juice in your child’s school bag unless he/she is staying for aftercare. The school supplies snack and juice at 10h00, and there is always water available for children who are thirsty before or after snack time.
If your child is staying for aftercare, his/her lunch should be packed in a St Lizzies cooler bag and placed on the shelf on the verandah on arrival. Parents are requested to pack a healthy lunch and juice for their children, a snack is provided by the school at 15h00.
Please note that sweets/chips are only allowed on a Friday – and will be removed from lunch boxes on any other day.

SICK CHILDREN
Please do not send your child to school when he/she is ill. Not only is it unfair for the child to be expected to perform, but also for the others who may pick up germs, and contagious diseases. It is also advisable to keep your child at home while on an anti-biotic as we do not administer any medicine whatsoever at school. If your child has open sores or wounds, these must be certified as non-contagious, and covered whilst at school.

NITS AND LICE
From time to time the teachers check the children’s hair for nits or lice. If your child is found to have nits or lice, he/she may not return until these have been removed, and a clearance certificate has been issued by the local clinic.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
The school gate is opened at 07h20. If you need to drop your child off earlier - from 07h10, there is an early bird service run by Miss Dlamini. This is an added cost of R50 per month or R5.00 on the day, payable directly to her.
Kindly take note of the school hours as it is most disruptive and disrespectful to arrive late after classes have started. The junior groups will begin their day at 07h50 Please note that Grade R - Blue Group hours are from 07h40 to 12h20 (according to Education Department requirements). When saying goodbye to your child, please keep the departure brief, do not linger, as this tends to upset the children, and subsequently - the parents. Children must be collected by 12h30, or the After Care fee of R25-00 per day will apply. Likewise early After Care children must be collected by 14h00 or the R35-00 late afternoon fee will be charged. No child may remain at After Care after 17h00.
Please note that in order to avoid disruption you will not be allowed to take your child through to his/her group if you arrive after 07h50 (07h40 for the Blue Group). Either I or Isobel will take the child through to their teacher. We appeal to you to co-operate in this matter as your child misses out on important part of the day when arriving late.
